In the fall of 2013, I presented my historical research on African American cowboys in the west. My presentation included discussing how after the Civil War, former slaves now had the ability to move to other parts of the country and were able to find new opportunities, that allowed for growth and a new sense of freedom. I created a digital presentation to accompany my speech with visuals from the time period.
