This is one event that my club held on campus. We had an event for Valentine's day. We offered other students to come and meet the club members, its officers, and socialize with other students on campus. The main purpose was to allow students to get to know more about what the club does and to learn more about other peers. We played games to get to know about each individuals majors, likes, dislikes, and what each individual hoped to achieve in their academic careers.
I remembered that one of the challenges was to promote in such a short period of time. We also needed to check for room availability in order to reserve one for our event. We also needed to get events approved by SGA. We needed to select a time and how long our event can last. We also had to inform the chairs of the Communications Studies department about our event as well.
Aside from the hectic process of putting the event together, the result of it was satisfying. As a group, we worked actively together. I liked how we got to learn about the other students on campus and that they enjoyed being with one another as well. It felt good to bring a group of people together and share what we all aimed to accomplish in our education.
