Agile software development is an umbrella term for a set of frameworks and practices based on the values and principles expressed in the Manifesto for Agile Software Development and the 12 Principles behind it.
In this training, I learned that in an Agile development approach, the focus is on the people doing the work and how they work together, rather than the individual. With Agile, solutions evolve through collaboration between self-organizing, cross-functional teams, utilizing the appropriate practices for their context.
The cybersecurity industry can benefit from the Agile mindset as much of the progress made in this industry is slow to adapt and the policies and procedures can be strict and unwavering. With an Agile approach, cybersecurity has the opportunity to transform into a dynamic set of skills rather than a set of mandatory compliance.
