The Senior Project was a yearlong project where high school seniors researched and learned about a field of study of interest. Wrote a six page long research paper on my findings.
Conducted over 30 hours of field work involving Psychology. This involved sitting in a behavioral therapist meeting, interviewing a family therapist, and taking an online course in Positive Psychology.
Performed a 10 minute presentation at the end of the year to a panel of judges.
After completing the project, I realized that while psychology is interesting, I prefer sociological concepts slightly more due to its focus on communities rather than the individual. This helped me choose to be a Sociology minor instead of a Psychology minor.
