For this assignment, I received a chance to interview a 5th grade student, administer several assessments, and analyze those assessments to plan an effective reading instruction program for her. Since I was unable to go into the classroom, I treated this as a fieldwork assignment and imagined as if I was in a classroom and what it would be like to work with other teachers, intervention staff if needed, and any other support staff. I collected the data I obtained on this student and treated it like a Case Study that needed to be reviewed and analyzed to come up with strengths, areas of need, and successful strategies to help my student!
